With the term ‘E’ banded about, sometimes it can be hard to keep up!  Well, we have just introduced a new ‘E’ into the game with our new Takuma Cruising 2 Efoil boards.  Once again, the team have been waiting in anticipation for the arrival of these new boards and they have not disappointed.  Their tag line is ‘fly above water’ and when you are on the board the feeling is pretty close to flying.

So what are they? An Efoil is an electric powered board with a mast and a wing.  The board is powered by a battery and a propeller (which kind of looks like a small torpedo).  The board lifts from the water after achieving certain speed, creating a “levitating” effect.  Jake describes them as like ‘riding a magic carpet’ and he is completely hooked!

They can travel at speeds of up to 28kph, whilst flight time reaches up to 1h 45mins.  Which means you can enjoy a session on the water without worrying if it will be over as sooner it started.
