Duotone Whip D/Lab - 2024

Duotone Whip has been one of the globally most popular kitesurfing surfboards for a number of years now. A proven and perfected shape designed by Sky Solbach had the D/Lab treatment making it even better.

The new 2023 Duotone Whip is now lighter and stronger than before, the the new Reflex Memory Foam Shock Absorber on the deck of the board made the Whip even more responsive when riding but also more resistant to pressure points when landing tricks or simply punching over chop and waves. It simply comes back to shape over time. Neat. Also, it cushions the landings so when you're going hard at it your legs and heals are taking less beating.

The Duotone Whip D/Lab is an ideal board for small to medium surf and choppy conditions. Which is pretty much what we get in the UK and most European spots anyway. Recent changes to the board's rocker made the Whip much nicer to surf, not just throw around. It's a very user-friendly board to ride making it the ideal bridge to transition from a twintip.

The Duotone Whip is also well known for it's strapless freestyle capabilities - thanks to the boxy outline and light weight it stick to your feet on takeoffs and throughout aerial manoeuvres. The grabrails make it easy to keep the board in your hands without having to look where to grab on take offs.

When surfing, we've found the acceleration pretty much literally breathtaking - it's a really fast board but you get used to it on day 1. Because of its very compact design, making snappy cutbacks and tight bottom turns feels natural and it gets loose fairly quickly for those stylish tail-slides.
